Airtable Apps
Airtable is a low-code SaaS (cloud) platform that enables users to build Web applications using databases. Once built, these applications can be accessed using a spreadsheet-like Web interface with additional forms, views and automations being added as necessary for specific end users.
This platform offers a comprehensive library of pre-made templates designed to address various business use cases, from content planning and CRM to third-party integrations and an API that enables developers to build customized plugins for it.
GAP Consulting, which offers team data organization and automation through Airtable and Zapier services, is an avid fan of Airtable. He runs both a YouTube channel and blog to share tutorials for getting started with Airtable; Gareth was even invited as a guest on our first season of BuiltOnAir podcast!
One of the more captivating features of Airtable is its ability to quickly transform databases into fully-fledged web apps without needing any code. The process is relatively easy and can be accomplished in just a few clicks; users can refer to Airtable’s website for detailed instructions, or use another no-code platform like Glide Pages that generates apps automatically within minutes using existing data.
One drawback of Airtable is its limited customization options compared to open source solutions such as Baserow. Furthermore, unlike some options in its space such as Baserow or Trello, Airtable does not permit users to modify core functionalities via its open source developer portal – something important for those requiring maximum control and transparency over their data.
